When you don't want to carry your camera bag?

I always have my iPhone 5 with me and never hesitate to use it instead of my Canon. In fact I seem to be using it a lot more these days to take those everyday shots.

What is 12of12?

On the 12th day of every month you take photos throughout the day as a way of documenting your everyday life. At the end of the day you choose your 12 favorite or the ones you think best represent your day and group them. I like to put them in a collage, I find it a pleasing way to see my day at a glance, but feel free to keep them separate or group them any way you would like.

It's a fabulous project to be apart of if you want to start focusing on taking photos from your own life. It's amazing to see what happens as a result. Not only are you documenting your day/life, but over time the practice of capturing your everyday helps you to see the good and be grateful for the bits and pieces that may get lost in the mundane. But it's more than that, you're not just taking a bunch of random photographs you are telling the story of your day, your life.

Have I convinced you to give it a try? If not go here to see a visual, my year at a glance, 12of12 style.
