blessed

I had this moment today as I watched Adam with his girls reading his handmade father's day cards and laughing together that they too, like me, are extremely lucky to have been blessed with an amazing father.

When I think about the man my father is and what he has taught me in this life I am reminded of my Adam. They are both one of the most sincere, genuine, and giving people I know. I am who I am today because of their loving influence in my life.

thank you for giving all of yourself to us.
we are so very blessed.

the best a girl can have

a conversation had a few weeks ago while I was removing nail polish from my toes...

Adam: Can I paint your nails?
me: I'm sorry, what did you say?
Adam: I want to paint your nails.
me: Are you serious?
Adam: Ya, I need the practice so when the girls are older I can do it for them.

This is the type of father Adam is...always thinking about ways he can spend meaningful time with his girls doing something for them. He tells them he loves them all the time, but it's how he shows them that speaks the loudest. I do not say this lightly, he is the greatest, most amazing father a girl could have. My girls are blessed indeed, and so am I.

Thank you Adam for being what your girls need, for loving us through the hard days and unbelievably good ones. We love you.

dad, I know Adam is such a good father because you are my example of what a father should be. Thank you for always making me feel loved and adored. You're the best! I love you dearly.

my girls thoughts on their dad

Today in primary they asked the kids questions about their dads. Here is their reply.

1. My dad works really hard, his job is:
Tess said, "helping his friends"
Bella said, "builds buildings"

2. My dad is ________ years old? That makes him________?
Tess said, "45 yrs old. older than me."
Bella said, "maybe 33. maybe old."

3. When he wants to relax, my dad does this:
Tess said, "he takes a little rest and then goes back to work."
Bella said, "lays on his bed."

4. My dad's favorite thing to do with me is:
Tess said, "help me and play and read to me."
Bella said, "he likes me to help him."

5. What i like best about my dad:
Tess said, "hugging."
Bella said, "he is so nice."

Adam and i got such a kick out of reading their words. I need to remember to do this more often.
My girls adore their father. In fact at times I get jealous of how much. They talk about him all day long and look forward to him coming home. It's quite the celebration when he does. I am so grateful and lucky to have him. They are so lucky to have him.

to all the Fathers in my life...

Happy Father's Day
Thank you for loving me.

Thank you.
I love.
