gratitude journals on etsy

Finally, after hours resizing and reformatting to get ready for a printer, I finally have gratitude journals ready for my etsy store shelves. Go here to see the listing.

Thank you so much, as always, for your support on my little projects. I am quite excited about this book as I believe, from experience, when we go through our day looking for things to be grateful for our outlook completely changes. A day that once was dismal can be changed as quickly as it came. Last year I didn't even have time to make one for myself because I wanted to share them with as many of you as wanted, but I am pleased to say I have my very own copy ready and waiting to be filled up January 1. So if you're interested, for yourself, for a gift, check out my etsy shop for more information on purchasing one of these books.

creative wednesday | week 4

This is a bag filled with dreams & recipes for soup & she's deciding right now which she's really hungry for. -storypeople

I read this yesterday and it made me laugh out loud. I guess you could say I was lying in bed trying to make myself get up and be productive when all I really wanted to do was pick up a book and stay cozy for a little while longer.

What to choose?

You'd be happy to know though, I picked my dream. I got up, did my essential morning activities, and headed straight to my studio to keep my creative Wednesday appointment.

I continued working on the gratitude journals I started last week, folding the signatures and punching holes. Now they're ready to be sewn.

I put together cards made from photographs from my Oregon trip.

Then I added the cards and other photographs onto my etsy site...it's been empty for far too long. It's crazy how much time that takes. Visit my site for more.

It was a busy day, but a very successful creative wednesday if I do say so myself.

gratitude journals are ready

After all day in my studio I am finally done with the gratitude journals. I will have them posted on my etsy site tomorrow morning most likely around 10am. Because of the interest I wasn't able to do orders so they are first come first serve. I hope you like them.

Thanks to those who were interested in buying them. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it immensely.

gratitude book interest?

I've had a lot of inquires the last 5 days about whether or not I'm going to make more gratitude books. I've been considering it, but because the year has already started I wasn't sure if you'd still be interested. It would take me at least 10-14 days to get a bunch made so please email me or comment if you're interested in one. I'm selling them for $35.

thanks,
amy

**Please keep in mind if the demand is high I won't be able to make them all so for now it will just have to be first come first serve. I will of course let you know when I'm putting them in my etsy shop.

october giveaway

Because I don't have a lot of decorations I use a 12x12 IKEA frame and change up the photo each season to help make everything feel a bit more festive around here. I wasn't sure what to do for Halloween, but then I remembered this photo (below) from when we went to Gardener Village a couple weeks ago. See it here.

I loved the way it looked and thought maybe one of you would too. So I'm giving away an 8x10 print of it for my October giveaway.

Leave a comment if you want to be eligible. Remember this is me wanting to give so please don't hesitate to comment. I'll announce the winner Wednesday afternoon.

P.S. I also put this print in my Etsy shop if you're at all interested.

today

* I'm writing this on a laptop because I'm experiencing computer woes. I fear I may be out my computer for a week or so. Other than the obvious, it has been seriously inconvenient since I had a project I had to finish yesterday. I kept hearing in my head, "make it work". What can I say, I'm such a fan of Tim Gunn.
* I made banana bread with the girls and I can smell it cooking in the oven. (edit...I'm pretty sure I over cooked the smaller ones)
* I took a 2 hour nap. I fear it may mess me up tonight.
* I got a new calling as the Primary Secretary in my ward for my church (it was a complete shock). A calling, for those of you who don't know, is volunteer service for various organizations in my church. The primary is the organization over the children 11 and under.

* I can see the mountains are beginning to change colors. I'm offically ready for autumn.
* I've been debating about either adding more to my etsy store or closing it down. I've been told it can't be found so I am adding a link to my sidebar in case anyone is interested.
* I've been watching Return of the Jedi with my four. I definitely like the other 2 better.
* I feel like I've got something I need to do that I'm not doing, but I can't imagine what it is. I keep looking at my calendar thinking something will be there.
* I have photos I want to upload and share from our attempt to camp last weekend.
* Have I told you lately that I am not a fan of computer problems.
* It's 8:30pm. I think I'll go back to bed and read a while and hopefully get a good 8 hours.

five for friday

* I've been dragging my feet for months, but I did it. I finally opened my own etsy site. Right now I've got a few of my photo cards and tags (I'm starting small), but I'm hoping to add to it. I'm just feeling it out for now, you never know how these things will go.

* I spent a good portion of my morning in bed reading. I haven't done that in so long, but my schedule was open so I allowed myself the extra time. It was an utter delight. I'm glad I took the time because once I got up I haven't stopped.

* Tonight as a family we're going to see the Disney "Earth" movie (see, I've got my head on straight with this whole flu thing...look at me going out in public). I haven't heard anything about it, but my girls are super excited, they love animals, and I'm sure it's beautiful. Has anyone seen it yet?

* Before that though, I'm taking a bunch of 8-11 year old girls swimming. It should be a good time for them, but muggy for me since it will be an indoor pool and I don't plan on swimming myself. At least I'll have some good company to hang out with.

* I took this in the car, no I wasn't driving, but can you imagine if I were? It was one of my favorite late night family drives to date because you couldn't escape the dramatic sky. It's one of the things I love so much about the sun setting later and summer coming...the color in the sky always seem brighter.
