everydayness

A Saturday bagel morning.

Adam and Randy digging potatoes from Pop's garden.

Celebrating Lolo. I'll never speak it aloud, shhh, but I thinking she maybe the favorite.

The weather is changing so automatically I think of knitting/crocheting. This time it was little booties for little baby Lewis.

Tess' first game ever. I was so impressed by how she played.

Did not take Megan long to get back in the swing of the game. Both good games, both girls won.

She's never loved to read, but over the summer she found a fondness for it. Love seeing her like this.

what was I thinking?

I can't walk up stairs today. You see, my neighbor talked me into doing this boot camp with her that started Monday morning at 5:30am. Two days into it and my legs aren't functioning like they should...I know, what was I thinking?! It's hard getting up and the workout has gotten harder each morning, but I'm loving (as long as the weather cooperates) being outdoors and watching the sun rise each day. That alone has made a huge impact on my morning...I'm finding I'm way more productive when I get home. Of course coming home and being with Adam for a bit doesn't hurt either. We usually never spend the mornings together so this has been a welcome change.

It's nice Wednesdays are rest day from boot camp because I was up late with Lori seeing Keane in concert last night. It was FANTASTIC. Admittedly much better than I thought it would be. As I stood there singing along I found myself realizing how much I did in fact love Keane. I mean, I knew I loved them that's why I bought tickets, but I didn't realize I loved them. I could have kicked myself for not bringing in my camera. I am so mad. I had it with me, in the car, but left it thinking they wouldn't let me bring it in. I am still not over the fact that I don't have pictures and video of my night standing in the dark with screaming fans...what was I thinking?

my outing

Yesterday Lori and I went out for a few hours. We meet for lunch, a bit of shopping, and some talking. I really enjoy her company. She makes me laugh and I always feel happy after spending time with her.

I was thinking yesterday after we parted how grateful I am she moved in with us back in 2003. I most likely would not have known her like I do now. I must admit, I was a bit afraid she might judge me as I am nothing like her mother (the way she keeps her house), but was pleasantly surprised that what came from it was a great friendship.

it felt like old times

Yesterday Lori came over around 4pm and hung out with me and the girls. It was nice to talk and just hang for a while. She stayed and ate dinner with us, than we all ended up going to Home Depot for paint and a frozen custard at Nielsen's.

It felt like old times. Like when she lived with us. The times we would all eat dinner, pile in the car, and go get ice-cream. I miss that. I don't think I knew how much until yesterday when she was here with us. Tess woke up this morning and asked why Lolo had to go. I could sense that she really missed having her here too. Can't imagine what its going to be like without her when she's off to Australia, but what an amazing time she is bound to have.
