it's been one of these kinds of days

You know the kind of days that start at 5:50am and don't quit until sundown. Ya, it's been that kind of day. I don't always embrace those days, come on there exhausting, but today I did because it's a Monday. I'm always more receptive to getting back to work, hitting my to do list hard on Mondays. Tuesday-Sunday...not so much :)

Sure feels good to get in bed after getting so much done.

monday gratitude

My friend Amy had a gratitude Friday and it reminded me that it's been far too long since I've had one of my own.

-a husband who will listens to me & talks about anything and everything
-affectionate children
-patience
-life changing experiences
-wisdom of others
-being at the right place at the right time
-experiences that allow you to meet people you never would have
-long distance relationships are possible
-last minute lunch dates
-being able to help a friend
-triangle boxes
-a good night rest



-the smell of books
-after school snacks...for me
-play dates
-a blank book ready to be filled
-checking things off my list
-renewed commitment to long term goals
-new art (kid and Adam) to hang on the board
-an idea for dinner
-empty laundry baskets
-fhe = spending the night together

Mondays...my lazy work day

Mondays have always been a favorite day of mine since I started staying home with my kids. It's the day to work on the house and get things in order after a crazy weekend....doing laundry, changing sheets, cleaning bathrooms etc. Its the day out of the week I only leave the house to take Bella to school. "It is a lazy working day". Lazy in that I usually don't get up and get ready right away. Lazy in that I take it slow and easy at my own pace. Love that. I love Mondays. Its a fresh start. A night dedicated to the family.
